How much does a new boiler cost in 2026?

The short answer

From our own fitted catalogue, a new gas boiler supplied and installed runs from £2,415 for a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 1000 25kW up to £4,285 for a Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 40kW, including VAT. Most three-bed homes land in the £2,415–£3,300 band.

If you already have an installer, supply-only boiler packs in our shop start lower — you are buying the boiler, flue and (in many packs) a filter, without labour.

What moves the price up or down

Two houses with the same boiler can get very different quotes. These are the levers:

• Output — a 25kW combi costs less than a 40kW one, and most homes do not need the big unit
• Boiler type — like-for-like combi swaps are cheapest; converting from a system or back boiler adds pipework and cylinder removal
• Flue route — a straight horizontal flue is simple; vertical or long runs add parts and time
• System condition — sludge, old pipework or a weak gas supply add a flush, pipe or gas-run work
• Controls — a smart thermostat or new timer is a modest add-on most people take

Supply-only vs supplied and fitted

A supply-only pack makes sense when you have your own Gas Safe-registered installer lined up — you buy the hardware from us and pay them for labour. Supplied and fitted wraps hardware, labour, flue, commissioning and warranty registration into one fixed figure, confirmed after a survey.

Our fitted quotes are fixed prices, not estimates that grow on the day. A 20% deposit reserves the installation date and the balance is due on completion.

What we do not do

We do not advertise a headline price and inflate it at survey, and we do not promise next-day installation we cannot staff. The figure on your quote is the figure you pay unless you change the job.
